Personality with “Out’ Passion”!

Personality with “Out’ Passion”!

Last Sunday, I got a chance to read an interesting article in ‘The Hindu’ Magazine. Article written by Dr. E.S. Krishnamoorthy (Neurologist and Neuropsychiatric Expert, “The inside man “), triggered my curious brain for thought overflow again… (The Brain buffer overflow🙂). I experienced this many times … Thought provoking questions from the article remains with me “Can every aspect of our personality be explained on the basis of our upbringing? Or are there other influencing factors? “

The thing which makes us as different and unique individual is the type of quality and the patterns of our feelings. The way we think and behave adds more dimensions to our life. This is like chalk and cheese for everyone and such feelings, thoughts and behaviour represent ourselves as we come across people and society which we callPersonality”… isn’t it?

Another thing that makes a personality unique is the quantity of activity a person does in life. It may be for a cause, the way we work, the amount of time spent or like to spend or the eagerness we show towards anything.  It’s a strong feeling about a thing which includes a desire, enthusiasm and interest. It’s like a strong affinity towards that thing which we like the most. We call Passion”… isn’t it?

When the chain of thoughts started reacting, I started thinking about the personality and passion that comes together with a strong and positive nature… one’s behaviour, one’s personality and one’s passion has a connection which control feelings, thoughts, interests, work styles, desires and the time we spend doing the things. Based on our experiences and knowledge which we gain in life, the reaction takes place in our thoughts and brain. There are good and bad (all helpful and harmful) experiences we have in our life. During every day situation brings something which is separate from others and we gain more experience! We either learn from it or we just scold ourselves and the faith. I feel here… at this very moment… actually… we get a chance to react and to make some changes into the way we think or we behave. I feel that’s the reason or a cause where different people react differently and it actually goes with everyone’s own experience. The very reason why we are so different!

There are many things in our life which go further than just a control; Of course many things are not in our control. They are not in control of any human for that matter (Trying to keep my balance between believers/and non believers 😉 😐 …!). We do not have a choice to accept or deny the fact which the same situation has brought many things in front of us. I think facts make us to change our perception about these things a little bit …! There is a reason behind One’s stability and productivity with changing conditions and environments while few others show little disturbance during the same time. Also our assumptions about a person or a personality, whenever we see people and sufferings, we do assume certain things based on the nature and our understanding of that situation. Now just try and keep (So called…) ‘Heart’ (Still trying to keep my balance between Heart/Mind and Brain  😉 😐 …!) away from the entire situation and think of brain’s response with up-and-coming thoughts for the situation. This is nothing but making assumptions based on the pure facts rather being additionally influenced. Such conclusive thought or judgment has an impact on the response which consequently makes an impression on the personality.

And the passion… creates a positive change and plays a small but important part in life. With passion, the activity becomes some kind of enthusiastic and of great interest… We actually can bring a lot of superiority into our acts and the amount of time we spend correcting the small experiences we gain in day to day life. It helps to improvise the nature within ourselves, also creates synchronization between the thoughts and activities we do. Passion can enhance and connect the thought to an act, only thing is it has to be nourished by principles and correct method to follow the interest. With a strong affection towards the way we perform becomes an additional creative power to the brain. This strength has capability to bring new thoughts and can make life much easier than we expect. (Do you want to scratch your head on to my serious thoughts … Buffer Overflow 🙂 🙂 !)

We are normally reactive by nature. After thinking on these lines for long time, I decided to put these thoughts on blog… Hoping that it will be bit interesting to digest. Hmmmm …  😐  thinking about the title with thought provoking words where we get some chance to do creative thinking from our side about passion with or with “Out'” . :-)!

I feel it’s the way to encourage the passion ‘Out’wards’!

A little passion with a positive personality works well not only in relationship but also in the whole environment we live in!

Keeping mental sickness apart, Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh (is the man from the article with a possibility of brain disease called epilepsy) was not just a productive painter. He created over 2000 works in a relatively short lifetime. He was a very prolific letter writer. Indeed, in one very productive period in Arles: the city in France (1888-1889) he is believed to have produced 200 paintings and 200 water-colours; A painting every 36 hours; he also managed to write to his brother Theo, an art dealer in Paris, and to fellow impressionists 200 letters filling 1700 pages, the shortest six pages long :-)!.

Let me conclude this in words of Vincent van Gogh, the personality with extra ordinary work and passion who wished to become an artist while in God’s service —…to try to understand the real significance of what the great artists, the serious masters tell us in their masterpieces that leads to God; One man wrote or told it in a book; another in a picture.”

Knock! Knock! Wake up time … 😉 I hope I didn’t  kept you having forty winks… If you reach till here please leave your comments, thoughts and reactions  🙂 immediately!!!

Hope… Overflow

Hope is a Good Thing !

All this started when I got a chance to re-visit one of my favourite Movie sequel “The Martix” the Sci-Fi saga ! I stopped counting after watching them more than 15th time ….

The Architect says to Neo... ” Hope, it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and your greatest weakness ! ”  The words remained with me for long time ….

Yesterday after months of holding a copy of the movie The Shawshank Redemption I finally decided to watch it !

The movie is based on a Stephen King novella [new word I picked up when I wiki-ed for the book :)] called Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.

Tim Robbins plays the role of a banker called Andy Dufresne who is given a double life sentence for murdering his wife and her lover – a crime that he badly wanted to commit but had not. As fate would have it he was sent to Shawshank Prison where he spent the next 19 years of his life!!!

Morgan Freeman plays the role of ‘Red‘ who was another in-mate at Shawshank Prison. Freeman sure has a class of his own … After this movie and The Bucket List, I added him in my List of favourite!!!

The movie is hard-hitting with a whole lot of dialogues that leaves you with a question and a thought. Just like the Dialog … “I wish I could tell you that – but prison is no fairy-tale world. He never said who did it, but we all knew. Things went on like that for awhile – prison life consists of routine, and then more routine.

It is yet another visualization of how harsh things can get on the other side of the bars. In fact we are still human and not controlled by any other machines or the system!! The thing that it is yet another attempt to convey that there is nothing more powerful than hope.

It is yet another attempt to reinforce the fact that no matter how mean life can get, it is that undying spirit of hope that will help us sail through and come out smiling despite the hardships that we will eventually leave behind.

The movie has influenced me positively and reminded for the fact… though we are not part of The Matrix … Hope is still the greatest strength for a human being.  I feel more positive about sticking on to my hopes; they may seem a bit irritating at the moment!!!

I decided… I should put up a post about this on BLOG here. There’s nothing more satisfying than spreading one’s positivity around – who knows, this might just make you want to change your mind over things you have given up on.

I’ll sum this up in Andy Dufresne’s words from the movie – ‘Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies’.
